Grillin' the George Foreman Grill

Ang found this listing, which reminds her "of picture games from old newspapers where you count the items in a scene that are out of place." Me, I think it's more like a "spot the differences" puzzle from the Sunday comics. So... can you tell what's missing in the photo below?

(Note: the second photo is Photoshopped, by me.)

The red thing on the fridge?! What do I win? Huh?!

The fridge magnet the fridge magnet! Now it's just spooky how exactly aligned both these photos are! The only explanation I can think of would be that they were taken on a tripod, and if someone went to that much effort, surely they could do a bit of tidying? Sheesh!

The fire extinguisher for when the cloths on the stove ignite?

The animals that eat from the bowls on the floor?

Maid Service?

My bacon?

I've been lurking, but I'll have to bite. I cannot resist these games, and was always very good at them...back when I was about nine. My guess is - the pink um...thingy...on the fridge. Some jelly sandwiche leaked on a piece of paper? A love note? A blood-stained piece of evidence?

That orange-y colored magnet! Good choice, too. That thing was hideous!

Jessie Ward: no, that was me. I mean, I did the second photo in Photoshop. I'll add a note explaining that.

I can't believe no one said "The search warrant."

Removing that one tomato looking magnet made ALL the difference in the allure of that room.

Same owner for 48 years, eh?

And never had a trash can to pitch some of that crap.

The used red condom on the freezer door? Perhaps they needed to save it for some tests.

Can I just say that photos like these make me feel ever so much better about my *own* housekeeping skills?? And my *own* "take a photo for the real estate listing" skills?

Took me forever, but I, too, saw that the red magnet was missing.

I'm going to say it's a pineapple magnet. I think we have the same one on our fridge. Our kitchen does NOT look like that, though.

I have a friend who never cooks and has his microwave on top of his stove burners.

Forget the mystery red thing on the refrigerator...Is that a freakin' fish hanging up next to the window?!?

I can't imagine all of the smells one must experience while standing in that filthy kitchen.

Holy cow! That's just down the block from my house! If it's the house I'm thinking of, the front yard is usually compositionally similar to the kitchen...

Awwwwwwwwww. Brain. Hurts. Was it just the magnet b/c I looked, I really, truly looked...

I have to tell you I just LOVE your blog. I read every entry and try to comment often.

You are really a highlight on the web.

Interesting ... where you've removed the magnet it's actually cleaner than the rest of the fridge ... LOL. Perhaps you could work your magic on the rest of the room?

ha, it's funny how a competition brings out all the lurkers! Including me...! Echoing earlier comments, your blog is wonderful and please keep it up.

Um...well...you did the red fridge thing, but I was so hoping you would have done: The flyswater, the dangly tissue on the stove, the dirt on the fridge, all the magnets, the red strips on the cabinets....i mean really...just do the whole thing.
