Plaster falling on an open fire...

Alan found this listing. This photo is captioned "stone fireplace in the living area" -- because yes, the first thing your drawn to is the lovely stone fireplace. I don't know if you even noticed, but the ceiling needs some work. No, really! Look up! C'mon, stop looking at the stone fireplace for just one sec and look at the ceiling.

Come on: it just needs a little TLC. After all, if you've had one major electrical fire, the rest of the wiring is probably just fine! What are the odds of there being two shorts?

How is the fan still hanging there? Come to think of it, how are there still paintings (such as they are) on the walls? I would expect a lot of decor and accessories to be lost before the entire ceiling disappears.

Aw but it's an adorable brick home and has a huge shade tree in the front yard!

Yes, the electrical fire started in the ceiling fan wiring, but the firefighters saved it along with the fireplace! (Oh yeah, fireplaces don't burn, right?)

A helicopter is busting through the ceiling upside down - shouldn't we call someone?

Awww " some cosmetic work needed" ? nice to see standards of decor haven't slipped too far though, fabulous art originals still beautifying the home there.

"this home needs extensive repair due to a fire that occurred....Don't let this great investment opportunity get away."

That is more than extensive repair. I'm afraid that the only thing to do is knock it down - too much of it has been thoroughly destroyed.

Or, they could use photoshop and improve the place for prospective buyers.

My favourite is the yellow caution tape in the garage. Safety first people!
