Diorama!

What? Why would Hello Nurse send this to me? It's a perfectly fine quilt, not really my style but... oh. Wait. That's not a quilt. That's a... a... It's a house. A house where people live perfectly normal lives, where they eat and sleep and read books and pay bills, all the time surrounded by walls with lizards and horses and dinosaurs and Bible scenes and I don't know what else.

To which I say: good for them.

The entire house has a common theme: nausea. I particularly like how pictures 3 and 4 are basically the same, except one is in focus.

I used to live in Boone, Iowa. We also paid $39,000 for the house we owned there, too.

Not too many places where you can get a cute house in a safe neighborhood for that price!

I hope this "fixer upper" gets fixed up and that someone will live happily ever after there.

Please mommy, please don't put any more fabric on the walls. I feel dizzy! Must. have. white. space on which to rest my eyes.

apparently fabric was cheaper than wallpaper?

just two words of criticism though... Ugh and Lee!

Gasp! The Indian in the Cupboard will be mauled by that dinosaur! Oh wait, it's like an itty bitty dinosaur... still.

The Agent! Really likes! Exclamation points!
And the owners! Won a wallpaper! Sample Contest!

Something about this appeals to me. Super cute on the inside. I would fix it up, but leave the diorama cupboard. That's too awesome!

At least they stuck with a theme. That theme being, of course, the horses-Indians-microbes theme.

love that fast food restaurant style kitchen table!

Wow, how to make 10 items look cluttered!

LOL, Whatnot. My friend was happy to get one until she realized her fancy modern condo didn't HAVE any corners. Not usable empty ones.

What's with all the lattice thrown in the mix?

It looks like a freaking dollhouse. I'm scared...

although this picture is awful, I can't believe you chose it over so many of the others. there's the blurry one (which does not improve the nauseating wallpaper) followed by the not blurry one, in which you can see the chair that is as ugly as the rest of the room. And then, all the basement shots? Those are hilarious. I especially like that the pain matches the W/D and that the foundation appears to slope badly in one room.

of course, for that price you couldn't buy anything at all in the PNW, so who's to complain.

I think it's genius, but a bit too chaotic. If money was no barrier, you could do it all again in Cath Kidston prints and real white picket fences, and then you'd probably get Homes and Gardens round telling the world about your unique style...

It is obvious from the exterior picture #1 and the interior picture #13 (detention hall).

That this is a small schoolhouse. I can't wait to see the grades on those dioramas.

What can we learn from this, boys and girls? The answer, of course, is to not decorate based on what you find at a remainder and fragments sale.

This is perhaps the most awesome listing ever!!! I must pass this on, again and again.

Is it really fabric?
It looks like someone was wallpaper sale surfing....

Okay, that is enough to trigger a migraine or seizures.

BTW, is some of that 'wallpaper' actually the cardboard from a case (or more) of Budweiser?

I love that this house is described as "country like". It's so ugly they can't even call it country.

It's a nice bonus that you have a spare turquoise window from (or 20) in case something happens in the basement.

I'd like to say that was old fashioned charm, but my MIL made a quilt for us two years ago out of the Lizard fabric and she always buys stuff new. I thought it was atrocious until we had a baby. Now it is great for taking to the park.
Definitely not for the walls tho...

Wallpaper sample books. You can wallpaper an entire house if you get your local paint store to give you their discontinued wallpaper sample books.

Free ~~~ and chaotic!

It's Pee Wee's playhouse!

It could be such a cute little house. I can actually see how someone thought that was a good idea and then lost what little mind they had after the second patten! Add that ugly floral chair and it is a fiesta for the senses. I did note a walker in one picture, so maybe their vision was going and they thought these were all just paisly?
