Better than one of those shiny new outhouses

Really the photo above is an excuse for me to quote from the listing: the "old outhouse still standing!" The cabin has "not flooded that seller's know of."

What are you waiting for? It can only have become even more beautiful in the two years since the photo was taken!

Ahh, what a great place to just get away, relax, write a manifesto, mail a few things ...

Does it come with the commando in the doorway?

I love this place - though I'm a bit concerned that it's going to need a new well - do you just go out and buy that sort of thing at the supermarket in the US?

I love the wood stove. Everything else can take a hike.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see how being able to "wave to the train's engineer" can be counted as a positive feature of this home or whatever you want to call it.

"not flooded that seller's know of."

Reminds me of another thing when I bought my house. A form the seller had to fill out included information on what underground tanks were on the property. The three choices were "Yes", "None", or "Unknown".

Of course the seller checked "Unknown" because he had no idea where 300 gallons of oil went when it was delivered. Always play dumb whenever you sell your house.

That's no Mr. Creepy Forest Ranger: that's Mark Trail, there to solve all your problems!

"not flooded that seller's know of"

I wish I could say that. On the main street of my district is a memorial for the Great Flood of 1950, complete with a huge full-colour photograph of my house standing in about six feet of water.
