Fine with me.

I was going to say something cutting about including this photo in a real estate listing, but c'mon. These Realtors are armed. Like, with guns, real guns. All I have to defend myself is a three-inch-deep layer of Lego scattered by the front door -- and let's face it, these guys probably don't live in shoes-off houses. So: keep it up! Great listing! Good luck!

This home is so peaceful, a turkey climbed up on the back deck and went to sleep.

I think there's something wrong with that man's turkey puppet. It seems a little, er, limp...

Oh no... Don't tell me you were digging around in my family album.

I swear I don't know him! I swear on my... uhm... Urban Decay makeup and my... laptop?

Did somebody say "Gobbler"?

Further proof that not everyone can just easily quit cold turkey.

*ahem*

Sorry.

It's the anti-PETA!
"I'd rather wear a turkey on my hand than go naked."

Also, I note that in the ad they suggest that from your homestead you can 'raise beef'.

Which is of course different to raising cattle. Raising beef sounds a bit... Carry On Farming. Unless perhaps they use meat like a champagne toast.

"Ladies and Gentleman! Please raise your beef for the Brideturkey and Groom!"

You know, when I looked at the picture I saw the, er, Nice Man, the large rifle, the dead turkey, and then I saw the red thing in the bottom corner. I actually thought that was blood at first. I'd like to suggest they change the Springdale Ranch logo to something like blue or green. Yellow even. Not red.

Spin that listing! "Home located in natural setting where wildlife abounds. Here we see wild turkeys on the deck. During an economic downturn it's nice to know there is always fresh food in the back yard! Snap up this home today!"

We went to an open house where the realtor was packing heat. He was showing us around and then told us, "oh, by the way, don't mind my gun in the front closet." Nicely redone house...not so nice neighborhood. Needless to say we did not go back.

I can just picture buying a tract of land here, building my dream house (or mobile home) and then having a neighbor run onto my deck trying to shoot a wild turkey!

Oh my lord, that's disgusting.

Turkeys are like dogs personality-wise, seriously. They are so affectionate and curious.

Ugh.

But even if I HATED turkeys, I don't see why I'd want to buy a house with a dead one on the porch.
