Your own biodome! But blue!

This listing is setting off my vertigo. Am I not being fair, I wonder? Is a better photo even possible when you're dealing with a home that's half scaffolding, half Zoom set?

It reminds me of Le Centre Pompidou in Paris a little bit, at least from the outside. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centre_Georges_Pompidou

I just think of my one-year-old falling to an untimely end! Yikes!

I couldn't live there unless most of the steelwork was covered in padding.

There would be a continuous "dong" sound throughout the home from me trying to walk around.

Wow, $895k for a "fixer."

I like the external duct work, I wonder if I can use that idea at my house to solve the 'no crawlspace or attic' issue with my pipes and a/c duct?

Maybe the blue M&M lives there?

Open and airy, perfect for entertaining or hosting a light saber duel.

I want to buy that and fill it full of monkeys.

@flyingchange: It's $895k for a fixer, but I'm betting the neighbors will chip in to reduct the price if the new buyer will pick a more neutral color. I think the Smurfs are the current residents, as they would let the place run down more than the classy Blue Man Group or Blue M&M tribe ...

Who buys an industrial/modern home and fills it with Victorian era antiques?

This seems like a good example of a bizzare house rather than poorly-chosen photos... I agree, not sure there really is a good way to photograph this thing. Whatever it is. I'm still not entirely sure, it's like Escher's Erector Set.

Webbie -- well, steampunk enthusiasts might do that.

But then they'd leave the beams bare metal rather than paint them that ungodly blue...

"Bring your contractor and your imagination." I think someone already brought a little too much imagination. How about a bulldozer?

I really, really like this! But then, I'm an artist, so there you go. I agree about the furniture, though. That needs to be modern. And it needs plants. LOTS of plants.
