Hate getting mail? This is the house for you!

This house seems to have a huge number of doors. Doors and mirrors. Sometimes mirrored doors. Or maybe doored mirrors.

It also is "missing the kitchen," according to the listing. I've lost mittens, I've lost library books, but I've never lost an entire room. Yet. But wait! I found it!

Ta dah! I wonder if there's a finder's fee?

"Needs some work and more vision." No thanks; I can see the mold clearly without any more vision. The only thing salvageable about this place is the neighborhood, near as I can tell. This is what $400k buys in our nation's capital?

Help me out here, how does photo No.4 work? The doorway and corner unit show up in the mirror that's on the same side of the room... Is there yet another mirror behind the person taking the photograph?

This is a strange house. I can't tell what it is really like; the rooms have no continuity other than the need for remodeling and a major clean-up. Now the big question, what is with the duct tape on the missing kitchen's curtains?

This house does not let me "realize my dream" at all.

The price is considerably boosted by the fact that this house is in very easy walking distance of a metro station - which is a big plus for any house in DC.

I think there are two doors and two corner units in that room.

I also think the range is the newest thing in that house by about 45 years.

I think it was a Oscar Wilde character that said, "To lose a bathroom, Mr. Worthing, may be regarded as misfortune; to lose a kitchen looks like carelessness."...or something like that.

I say it is a great AD for Duct Tape!

At first I was a little confused about the bizzare house I was looking at, then realized it's in Southeast DC and all was explained.

"good looks, bones and possibilities"

Yeah, that's what they said about my last blind date. Famous last words.

I personally like the photo of the street number and porch light. Perhaps that is proof of "bones"? What are the "bones" of a house anyway?

... is that a machete over the sink?
