Either there was a special on pink (buy one shade, get several shades either side free) or someone has taken photos of the inside of Barbie's house. . . .
But I am thankful for small mercies - at least the furnishings don't appear in the photos. We can, thankfully, only speculate on the varying shades of pink the owner chose to team with the walls . . .
I love it - it's so over the top, so exaggerated, so gloriously unlivable with... Got to admire people who really know how to do things in a big big way...
My daughter and son and all other kids (no matter what gender) in the 'princess' stage of life would love to move in there!
Did she get tired of painting by the time she got to the kitchen? Seriously, if you've gone that far in your devotion to pink, why not go all of the way?
Its a shame, because the house might have actually been nice, had the owners not been so focused on one color. Excuse me while I go look at paint swatches in the blue/green family. I need to get that out my head, thanks.
You know that shelf near the paint counter at home depot? The one where they put all the clearance mis-color paint? I think that's where they bought all that pink. It's got to be. Nobody really chose to live in all that pink. Really.
I have two wing chairs I'd love to sell the owners of that home! My mother-in-law is very into pink and two of her chairs landed in our home when she retired and downsized her living space.
I once viewed a house that was painted wedgewood blue. In every room. With (I swear to god) white plaster reliefs on the walls. I even went back to view a second time and took my mum and sister because they thought I was exaggerating...
I wonder if the sane members of the family hit out in the green kitchen all day. Actually, it could have looked very nice, depending on how they decorated. Pink is a warm and uplifting color.
Really? Really? Pink. When I was a kid we went to an all blue house. I have never forgotten it. Every bit of furniture was blue too. I really wonder what their furniture was like. This is just scary. But then if I could my house would be all plaid. Do you think that my kids could grow up normal in a plaid house.
Oh come on, at least she took down all the Hello Kitty stuff you just *know* had to be in this house!
I just can't imagine having the furnishings to go with this home. If it had those pink light bulbs, I would suspect it had been some sort of "party house" as nobody could possibly live that way.
I have a friend who's pink-obsessed... practically everything is pink. Her dorm room is furnished mostly in pink (probably the only reason she hasn't painted or wallpapered it pink is because we're not allowed to).
Something tells me her house is going to look very much like this one day... haha.
I'm another who kind of admires this--they've actually done quite a nice job with the painting, they've varied the palette, and I bet they absolutely love it. Which is the problem, as apparently they love it too much to realize that they need to paint over it if anybody else is ever to own the house.
Shawnie, Steel Magnolias. Glad I'm not the only one who thought that immediately!
My 7 yo daughter would LOVE this house! It's like her bedroom (which is exactly the same bright pink in some of those pictures) exploded all over that house.
I painted both bathrooms in my house a deep pink like the first bathroom (Sherwin Williams "amaryllis") and I loved it - my husband had other thoughts - but when we were thinking of putting our house on the market, the first thing I did was paint the bathrooms with a more neutral color (I don't like white so I painted them "honey"). Pink is such a controversial color, I wouldn't have even considered leaving it pink on the market.
Aww man, they totally missed a great opportunity here. They needed a pink toilet, sink and bathtub, like the ones found in my apartment! (Srsly, my bathroom is like a throwback to the '70s...no, wait--I think it actually IS from the '70s!)

Ok so either Mary Kay lived here or Barbie.
It's Barbie's Dream House!
I wonder if it was always all pink, or if they painted it that way just prior to putting it on the market. You know, for buyer incentive ...
Why is this house for sale? Did Barbie and Ken get a divorce?
We looked at a house like this once. They even had pink LIGHT BULBS in all the fixtures.
Ummm...I hope it's mostly primer?????
Now I'm feeling rather lucky that our house only had wall to wall dusty rose colored carpeting (in every room) when we moved in.
the Pepto Bismol house... I think I'll skip it.
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahaha...pink...hahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha...oh...gasp...hahahahahahahahahahahahaha...same...cough...house....hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...passes out.

Looks like someone vomited up an entire case of Pepto Bismol all over that house. My retinas are burning! They're burning!
I'm thinking it's the cubist interpretation of the inside of a bubble gum bubble...
...or someone really hated white.
Gag!

i think I may be sick
I dont see a problem....what am i missing?...
think pink!
lol
Suburban bordello?
I think each of those photos could use a little more color...like say....PINK!!! (say it like the church lady on SNL)...*smirk*...lol...
"My colors are blush and bashful. I have chosen two shades of pink, one is much deeper than the other. Pink is my signature color."
Name that movie!!
my sister's house looked very much like that when she bought it - even the carpets were pink!
Did the Easter Bunny explode?
I was overwhelmed, for a moment there, until I realized that these people have only BEGUN...
blossom, blush, carnation, coral, flower, flushed, rose, salmon, cerise, coral, fuchsia, raspberry, rose, salmon pink, shell pink, shocking pink, scallop, magenta…
and from crayola… shocking pink, ultra pink, neon pink, pink sherbet, piggy pink, cotton candy, pink flamingo, mauvelous, melon, salmon, razzle dazzle rose, , tickle me pink, wild strawberry, wild watermelon...
Bess, it's okay if you're feeling queasy ... there's plenty of Pepto-Bismol on the walls. Just lick them.
I LOVE IT!!! (seriously) All pink would totally entice me to buy a house.
Its a shame, because the house might have actually been nice, had the owners not been so focused on one color. Excuse me while I go look at paint swatches in the blue/green family. I need to get that out my head, thanks.
If you're going to be sick, why don't you try some Pepto bismol
Steel Magnolias, Shawnie.

Thoughts?

Oh, c'mon, some of that's got to be mauve or lilac...don't you think?
Reminds me of a childhood chant "ink, pink, you stink!"
I once viewed a house that was painted wedgewood blue. In every room. With (I swear to god) white plaster reliefs on the walls. I even went back to view a second time and took my mum and sister because they thought I was exaggerating...
nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, DIARRHEA!!

WHAT did their furniture look like??! :-o

Hideous.
That is all.
"Pink Panther lives here."
WOAH! I'm a pink girl but that is WAY overboard!!!! Headache city here I come!
Shawnie - that movie is Steel Magnolias. The line is spoken by Julia Roberts. WOOHOO! What do I win??
Do my eyes decieve me, or is the back hallway in the 6th picture down the same shade of green as the kitchen?
A pink obsession, with a lime green fetish?
mmmm, pretty
you all know what would fix this ...
SNOWGLOBES!
MY EYES!!!

Oh
My
Goodness
*argh*
I won't be able to sleep tonight, Barbie will be chasing me in my dreams with a can of paint ...

I am morbidly curious to see what that house must have looked like with furniture in it.
I am betting that all the furnishings were pink too...
isn't there justice in the world, anymore? (shakes head and looks down...)
I'm thinking black furniture in this one...
Maybe they'd knock 9K off for paint.
I am positive this is NOT what Mellencamp meant people. Little pink houses for you and me.....
I'm another who kind of admires this--they've actually done quite a nice job with the painting, they've varied the palette, and I bet they absolutely love it. Hey that paint just seems to have gone such a long way, it seemed a shame to buy another tin in a different colour.
Subtle. I like it.
Shawnie, Steel Magnolias. Glad I'm not the only one who thought that immediately!

Fab-u-lous!
Owwwww. I think I'm going to be sick!
Oh lord, pink in every single room! That would drive me nuts! This person must've gotten Barbie and her design team to paint the house.
All that pink almost blinded me to the fact that one of the bathrooms HAS NO DOOR.
Almost.
I was handling it until I got to the green. Oh hell no! And then more green! So what you're telling me is that - that was no accident!!
I love it!
I would buy it.
Its just so pretty,
I mean seriously,
who doesnt love pink?!?!
My house was like this when we moved in - but green not pink... urgh...
Aww man, they totally missed a great opportunity here. They needed a pink toilet, sink and bathtub, like the ones found in my apartment! (Srsly, my bathroom is like a throwback to the '70s...no, wait--I think it actually IS from the '70s!)
Mother. Of. God!!!!!!
Its a house for Breast Cancer awareness...maybe all the money will go to the Susan Komen fund
