For that homey "storage locker" feeling

This fixer looks like it could be quite nice -- but the seller seems to be going out of his way to show off its less desirable qualities. Unless, of course, these are actually the desirable qualities...

Found by Molly.

P.S. Why does this crack me up? "Centrally located and a 5 minute walk to the Town Marina, Library, K-12 school, Grocery store, gas station, Post Office and Canada."

Call me a snob, but it looks like the Marina is a fixer too!

Are the extra tires and canoe included in the price of the house?

I always try to live withing walking distance of another country. But that's just me.

Actually, my grandfather was notorious in our family for always wanting to live within 45 minutes of an international airport. And he hardly ever traveled...

Holy cats, a five-minute walk to Canada?! I'm in! And I do need a set of tires, actually...

Is this where Harry Potter lives?

I hate walking on stairs with no railing. I always feel as though each step I take will lead to broken body parts.

The weird thing is, this house is in Florida.

Are you saying that a five minute walk to Canada isn't desirable?

Does anyone know what those crazy statues are in picture #6?

How does the massive grave not end up being the lovely listing photo? Good stuff.

Did anyone notice his email address? There could be anything under those floorboards.

It cracks you up because, well, because it's hilarious; but definitely a selling point if your looking to cross the border on foot. And we must give him credit for stating up front that the pics were taken on his camera phone.

That is a lovely area, I've been there. It seems reasonable and do-able for someone. I've wanted to live in Maine, but I don't think we will ever stray too far from Ohio.

Whoa! Talk about convenience!

"Where are you going, honey?

"I'm just stepping out for ten minutes to pick up some library books, the mail, a loaf of bread and a Mountie."

"We're out of milk, too."

Just came across your site! LOVE IT! I love how crafty he was in making his one of a kind TV stand...bricks are such a nice touch. At least he had the decency to make his...matress!

I drove through Lubec a couple months ago...literally 5 minutes from Canada. HA! (Granted, it's 5 minutes from a very rural Canadian Island, but Canada nonetheless) :)
