HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER VACATION

HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER VACATION
by
The Chair

Here I am, on my way:

First stop: my aunt and uncle's house. We sat out back and talked (here we are with my cousin):

Next I went to visit my old college housemates:

I guess I we relived the old days a bit too well, because I woke up here:

One I'd recovered, I was off to explore the big city:

One thing I like about travel is getting to meet people who don't look like all the people back home, if you know what I mean:

They took me and my old housemates to a cool party in someone's basement -- wild times!

My old housemates were a bit freaked out, though. They're so uptight:

Finally, back home for a much-needed rest.

Your blog makes me laugh so hard that I cry. My husband thinks I'm weird! I just love the post with the giant photoshopped dog in the backyard, that had me going for hours.

That is absolutely the BEST! I love that you were able tell a complete story---so creative! And, it was just exactly what I needed. You do a wonderful service, dishing up such great humor!

I love it! This site is just too much fun!!!

If only those chairs could talk.

Actually, strike that. I don't think I want to hear those tales.

Hilarious! Isn't it ridiculous how many people seem to feel their cheap outdoor chairs are worthy of including in the listing. I half think they're demonstrating how somebody else's generic white plastic chair will fit into to the decorating scheme of the house.

Nothing says "class" more than having lawn furniture in your living room.

Wow. Just Wow. You are a genius!

and if Pixar, Disney, etc. animations will turn to create movies about monobloc chairs and other furnitures instead of animals, we know who got it all started..

advance congrats!!!

Are these all one house? How kooky!

Uh....when were you guys in my house?? The chair didn't tell me he ever had friends over. Ugh. He never tells me anything.

Great post. And I love that you used the dog pic in your banner. Like I said on my blog, that was the pic that made your site one of my favorites.

Keep 'em coming!

Arik

P.S. If the chair ever asks you to come over again in secret, can you just send me a note to let me know? He knows better than that...

Some people see plastic chairs and think cheap lawn furniture.
You see plastic chairs and create an hysterically funny narrative. Bravo!

And because it can't be said often enough, Brilliant!

Best post yet! I love it! And I've learned something new. I learned that cheap plastic patio furniture really can be used for any room of the house.

"One thing I like about travel is getting to meet people who don't look like all the people back home, if you know what I mean:"

Hah-hah!! If diversity can be appreciated in the inexpensive lawn/party chair culture, then surely mankind can work toward the same goal.

Very funny.

9 years ago my sister in law and me took photo's of a purple plastic chair spending its holiday in Turkey: on the terrace, at the beach, in the bus, We even took the chair back in the airplane back home. We had so much fun spending our vacation with a plastic chair. Thank you for remembering this! (by the way, the pictures we took ended up as a beautifull little book called purple chair on holiday, a project for art school)

Do you ever think that some people just post photos like this just so they can become famous in your blog? Because I seriously can't imagine anyone needing so many chairs in the house they were selling. Awesome blog!

I used to work in Kirkland, by the way. I think I may have met that chair once at the QFC.
